This is a challenge coin display I made for my boss when he left my unit. It is made of oak, stained with Varathane Summer Oak and Black Cherry, then finished with polycrylic. I ripped one 1X10 plank on my table saw (that I also used to cut the angled end pieces and make the 1/4×1/4 inch coin slots), made the cross cuts on a miter saw, and finished the edges with a router and round over bit. The plaque is engraved acrylic which was a total pain to drill out for the mounts. This was my second coin display ever and it’s also what made me catch the woodworking bug. I’ve made a few more that are nothing like this one. I’m still experimenting, but having fun doing it. Hope you guys enjoy!

Thanks, I really appreciate the compliment, especially knowing the stuff you’ve made.
