My daughter, Rachel, asked if I would make a box like hers so she could give it to her friend Lacey as a wedding gift.
I stayed with my basic design, but opted to omit the wild shaping. I didnt want to copy Rachels box exactly, just the colors and style.
I had this deep red, even grained piece of Bloodwood and set that into some figured Maple. Its all topped off with several coats of lacquer.

Rachel said it got a lot of attention at the reception. I didnt even know the bride, but I was really doing it to please my daughter…which it did.

Unfortunately, this is the only picture I have.

Wow, another fantastic box Andy, just beautiful!!!
The finish look “inches” thick and just sparkles…..........

I “really” am going to get to making one of your boxes, even though they won’t be as nice…...........

Thanks for sharing
