My 10 year old daughter and I made this in 90 minutes start to finish without any plans. Did not have a clue how I was going to make this when we started out to the shop after dinner tonight. It was like a 1 in 1000 chance phenomenon. I randomly selected 15 degrees for the staves and we ripped them at a random width and it made the right size and fit the first shot! My daughter used the miter saw, router and band saw (with me at her side)and did a lot of the sanding. I think you can actually churn butter in this thing.

Good idea! Nice work! Way to go getting the next generation into creativity. What are you going to say when she wants a dovetail jig from Santa?

I think you should give it a try and see if it works. I am as curious as you are. This is a great looking project though.
