I received a request from a client o build this crazy headboard. They had a picture of what they wanted it to look like and we ended up making it from solid 8/4 Myrtlewood. When it was all done the thing was massive at over 7 feet wide and 6 feet+ high. I built it like a giant lamination and cut out the parts I didn’t want. I did a lot of power carving on it to remove most of the waste. It turned out crazy looking, but nice. It ended up getting shipped to Ohio in a huge crate that I built for it. This kind of project is why I like using the site, you just never know what people will ask for and it challenges you to come up with the piece. It is finished with a poly varnish.

Crazy! Really you did a super job. I wonder of they ever imagined it would turn out as beautiful as it did.

Great job, it looks fantastic. Bit of a trap though, wouldn’t want to get my foot caught in one of those spaces. LOL

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.

Looks awsome. Looks like it belongs in Rivendale.

Brian, that is crazy beautiful! It is not being displayed to its stunning potential with the window and stripes behind it though. Tell them to do it right! LOL
