This is the first work bench I built. It’s really just 2×4’s with halflap joints, and mdf shelves. I did add the drawers recently trying to get my shop a little better organized. When I originally built it, i wasn’t intending on having the side walls, but I cut the top too short, and was wondering what to do about it. A couple of days, and four letter words passed, then I came up with the Idea to put the sides on. It turned out to be a blessing in descise, because I don’t know how many time it saved me from loosing something of the side of the bench.
So this was my first attempt at dovetails, and I ran the groove for the bottom drawer in a bd spot that lended to the chipped corners of the tails. but I didn’t think about it. At any rate I have learned for the next one.

Good enough for a work bench!

I do not believe a perfect work bench is a good idea anyway! It is like wearing a suit to clean a hog pen!

Going to get messed up if you actually use it!
