I came across this clamp rack on the Wood Whisperer website a couple years ago. I recently got so frustrated with my clamp disorganization that I broke down and designed my own spin off to fit exactly 16 clamps that I own. I am please with the way it came out and it seems to be plenty sturdy. I added some support brackets to aid in the strength as well.
The joinery used was pocket screws and glue. Wood used was pine plywood. Time to build was approximately 4 hours. Hardest part was getting a layout drawn up that I liked.
PS… Woodriver clamps stink (green ones in the photo) but I don’t think they sell them anymore so you are safe…

This gives me both clamp and rack envy lol. It sure beats clamping them to studs like I’ve resorted to. Well done!

I built pretty much the same one but without the top shelf portion. So just the lower “L” shaped piece with some triangle braces. I then just screwed it to the wall. The more I look at yours the more I realize that I do need that top shelf so I just may need to make another soon. Nice job.

I forgot to add the drawings I came up with. I hope it sheds some light and makes it easier on others.

I could email it if you really wanted it? I have a copy on PDF. Just message me on the side with an email address and I’ll send it over to you.
I figure I’ve gotten so many good ideas through sites and fellow contributors over the years that I should probably give back or karma will start breaking all my tools….

Nice rack and a good solution to your organization problem. Only flaw I see is now you can’t buy any more clamps! ;-)
