This is from the most recent shopnotes magazine (summer 2009). It was a great project to work on and it allowed me to get rid of some scrap sheet stock I had laying around. It is all in MDF, with the back pieces 5/8 OSB. The magazine has mods for the different clamp types, as well as additions for internal storage of C clamps, small f clamps, and hand screws…
I had trouble with some of the mdf…even though I predrilled everything, it still wanted to split on me…but its also glued, so I think there will be enough strength there…Now I just have to hang it…

It looks great. Does the top hinge so you can get to the back clamps?

karson, yep there is a piano hinge on between the shelves and the top/front panel that allows it to swivel out. I tried to take a pic of it somewhat open, but it was bad…once I have it mounted Ill take a couple more pics.

Wow—your shop is going to be super organised! My clamp rack does its job but it still manages to look messy. What i like about yours is that it looks and probably feels organised. Aesthetics are also important in the shop—well done.

thanks naomi, but I imagine my wife would disagree with you on my organizational abilities.
