My wife went to Williams Sonoma and bought three $30ea spatulas. Being the cheap person I am I had to try to make a set.. especially since she wanted more. The wood is from a sliver maple I took out of a guys back yard last fall. I would have preferred hard maple, but I don’t have any in my fire wood pile. I they look nice with the bit of figure in the wood. | |||||||

The intermediate shaping was done with a belt sander, and finished with a ros followed by some hand sanding.

They look mighty darn good from here. You saved a few bucks and made your wife happy – what more could a guy ask for? (-:
