My wife went to Williams Sonoma and bought three $30ea spatulas. Being the cheap person I am I had to try to make a set.. especially since she wanted more.
The wood is from a sliver maple I took out of a guys back yard last fall. I would have preferred hard maple, but I don’t have any in my fire wood pile.
I they look nice with the bit of figure in the wood.

How did you shape the wood into it’s final shape?

The intermediate shaping was done with a belt sander, and finished with a ros followed by some hand sanding.
