After scrapping yet another attempt at the cosulet bowl by Tina Florin (that pattern is going to drive me to the nuthouse), I decided I needed some instant gratification so I decided to try out Steve Good’s instructions for a polymer inlay.

I found a silhouette that I liked online (pinterest but couldn’t find original source) and cut it out of 1/8” oak. I backed it with another piece of 1/8” oak. I used Sculpey since that’s what I had lying around and followed the package directions for baking. It came out perfect! I’m going to add a wire bail to it and probably sell it.

Measures about 2”

I have no idea what a polymer Inlay is so I’ll have to look that up.
Otherwise it a nice piece

Thanks! Polymer is clay, like Sculpey or Fimo. You just smoosh it in and bake it like normal.
