This rocker belonged to my grandparents,found it above my parents garage,haven’t seen it it for over 45 years,couldn’t bare to throw it away so I took it apart ,repaired the seat took out all(12) the nails,stripped the paint,reglued all the joints repaired 1 rocker,used 2 layers of milk paint,penetrating oil and finished off with wax.It now belongs to my sister.

Just beautiful. I’ll bet finding it brought a lot of good memories. I’m certain that your grandparents would be very proud of you for restoring their rocker. It’s really eye catching.

Its great to see that you brought new life to your grandparents’ rocker. You have done a wonderful job restoring ot and I’m sure it will be a special chair for you family for many generations.
