Project Information

This is a clamp rack, or should I say, clamp cabinet unlike any you have seen. I drew inspiration for a couple of different methods and came up with my design. Clamps come in a variety of choices and sometimes finding homes for them can be difficult. So I needed a new way to house them than a simple grooved shelf.

This cabinet can hold all of my K body, F Style, Spring hand clamps, band clamps, c-clamps, quick grips and accessories. It comes equipped with 3 drawers that slide on full extension slides 14" slides. Then the K body and F style clamps swing out from behind two doors that are equipped with brackets to hold 32 clamps and then some depending on the configuration of your clamps in the cabinet. The center cabinet will hold all the other simple clamps on 5 dowel rods above the drawers. All of this is mounted with 12 four inch spax screws, so it isn't going anywhere. Below are pics of some of the building process and if you are so inclined to watch a full build video, check this video out:

What a great cabinet. I think I have at least that many clamps, and your correct, they are all over the place. I know a cabinet is what I need as well.

This is as awesome as your table saw station Drew, if not awesomer! I know that took a lot of planning to make sure everything fit. I think you have room for more clamps though. You need to go shopping. lol Great job! BOOM!

What a tremendous accomplishment!
I am in the process of reworking my little shop space. I know what it feels like to make a place for tools to "ALWAYS" rest when not working. This is a wonderful clamp cabinet!
Just wondering, is that chalk board paint on the outside cabinets? I didn't watch the video, (Low on data)
I bet this feels so good to be done AND to be working!
