Couldn’t get the uploaded photo to orient correctly despite looking correct on my machine so hosting elsewhere and linking.

Not a lot of pictures this time unfortunately but this is a fairly simple oak bookshelf that is part of the bedroom set I’ve been assembling for our first child due next month. We’re in an apartment now so this will need to live in the living room for a while instead of near the matching furniture I’ve been making but that’s alright by me.

The design process was a bit different this time around. It started with a google image search until I found one that my wife and I both liked and then borrowed a few of the main visual features from it. In addition to matching the stain to the other pieces I tried to match the edge profiles and short tapered legs/feet so that the pieces looked like they belonged together. To see the matching pieces take a look in my projects sections for a crib and a dresser/changing table.

Overall dimensions are 42” Tall by 36” wide by 11” Deep. Pictures are taken just after it was sprayed so it’s actually more even than it looks in the picture. it’s set up on my shop stoop so I can get to the bottom more easily.

Thanks for looking. Feel free to send any questions or comments my way.

For some reason this photo refuses to rotate. The thumbnail and the opened photo on my computer are oriented correctly but uploading here caused it to rotate for some reason.

Very nice looking project. I especially like the curve in the top section …
