This is a small box I made to get some practice making dovetails and grooves with handtools. The sides are quarter inch thick tulipwood. The bottom is a panel made of glued-up quarter inch mahogany. The top is a panel made from some three-eights canarywood with a rebate on the underside. The handle is a hand-carved piece of bloodwood. All work was done with handtools – and it is far from perfect, but I certainly enjoyed the practice!
