Curly Cherry / Purpleheart

Just finished this jewelry box. The box is 14×9x4 and is made from curly cherry and trimmed with purpleheart. The finish is natural danish oil, then several coats of lacquer, followed by a rubbing out.

I love the combination of cherry and purpleheart. Even when the purpleheart darkens, it is still a beautiful contrast.
