I have made this Zebrano and burl French style square. I saw the design on a youtube page ‘wortheffort’ and thought it was cool. I used some scrap zebrawood and an old piece of burl.

The burl was rescued the bin at the woodworking club. It looks a bit crazy but it works well and feels nice to use.

Also in the pics is the first tool I made for the set, a matching spokeshave based on the Hock kit. I intend (time permitting) to make a few matching hand tools from some Zebrano that has been sitting in my shed as off cuts from a project I made a few years ago.

Next to be made in the zebrano theme is a block plane.
