Project Information
Hi lumberjocks
I needed a stand for my tablesaw, and came up with this solution.
The table collects all sawdust in a drawer, that normally pile up beneath the saw.
Once in a while I empty it out, and the kids have sawdust for their rabbit.
Generally when I build for myself, Im cheap and make due, with whatever I have in the shop. In my job as carpenter, I save exotic scraps of wood, from any deckbuilds or similar.
The white oak panels on the sides, used to be the floor in my hall. I saved a bunch of it, when I replaced it last year. You can tell it´s been washed 100 times with the girlfriends nasty whitening floor-soap.
Wood: Cheap pine, Bankarai for detail, and Oak flooring for panelsides.
Coating: 2 x Linseed oil (and that damned whitewash)
Joinery: Grooves for panels, Halflaps for the frame and Dovetals for the drawer.
Metal: Aluminium handle and a set of full extension drawer slides
Total expenses on this build: $0
Have a good day
