I had a bunch of scraps of plywood from a recent projects from the “Honey-Do” list. They way they were cut didn’t leave much usable stock, so I decided to make push sticks for the kids at shool.

I’ve found this type to be great for cutting really thin strips pine as the stock is supported on both sides (see pic 2).

Hope fully this set lasts at least into next school year, but at the rate they go through them I may run out by Christmas!

That is really cool. Hopefully they will last the kids for a while. I bet the kids go thru a lot of them. Great job buddy

That’s a great heart you have there Mr. Touch. It’s sad that so many don’t appreciate teachers more. As the son and brother of educators, I have a great respect for all that teachers do.

The use of scrap for the kids is cool too. Good way to show them to waste nothing. They might not get it now, but ten or twenty years down the line they will.

I think I have some scrap laying around that I don’t have plans for yet…until now.

Push blocks are one of the best uses I’ve found for scrap plywood.

Great job. I spent a few hours cutting a bunch of push blocks so I’d always have some handy. Gotta protect those fingers!!
