Queen sized bed from solid cherry. I was following the instructions from a book I helped on some projects with that was written by Jeff Miller “Beds” Taunton Publishing. (J. Miller Handcrafted Furniture) in Chicago. Lots of fun, big pieces. Basic shaker design, with extra thick rails (nearly 8/4 thick). Included turned finials, my first go at a lathe.
Really has darkened over the last 10 years, as this, along with the nightstands shown were a wedding gift to my bride.

Pretty basic shaker style. Only one glue joint for the headboard. It is a design I used from my mentor, Jeff Miller. He has published a book on making beds by Taunton Publishing.
Full plans in there. Biggest hassle is getting the clear 12/4 cherry stock.
Was a wedding gift for my wife 10 years ago.
