I do some woodworking projects out of my shabby workshop located in my basement. About a month ago, I had an older lady contract me to construct a diaper changing station for her soon to be granddaughter. She wanted something that her daughter could use to change diapers on, and then later on down the road be used as a regular cabinet. So, this was the end result. I put a lip around the top to hold the diaper changing pad thing they purchased on.
The entire construct of the cabinet is red oak. Only the sides of the drawers are another wood, which is pine. I did half-blind dovetails on those because why not. It was a bear to get out of the basement, at 240 pounds completed weight.
I think it turned out alright. I didn’t charge any for it, since it was for some nice people.
