I’ve been using an Xacto knife for my marking knife. Or just using a pencil. Decided it was time to class things up a bit. The guys at http://czeckedge.com/ offer several marking knife and awl designs as kits or as completed tools. I went the kit route so they supplied the blade and ferrule. I supply the handle.
Turned this one from some wacky ash I got in trade. Makes for a nice handle with a little bit of character.
Very happy with it. I’m sure I can make perfect dovetails every time now… ;)

cool handle! thanks for the link. You’ll have to start making your dovetails left handed now, lest you get bored with all the perfect ones… ;)

Good job. Something you will use endlessly. Looks like a comfortable handle.
