This box was cut out from a block of Ambrosia Maple that had a bad spot in the middle of the top. I cut out the bad spot and came up with “The Flame”. The tall pull out drawer has small hooks in the top to hang necklaces. Black flocking for the drawers. I’m working on another “flame” box, but this time I have the two tips cross one another.( without touching each other) Just another challenge. Hope to post some pictures of that in the near future.

Looking forward to seeing the next one. It is going to be hard to top this one. It is a beautiful creative box.

You’re cranking out some cool boxes, dude. Can’t wait until I get some time to get back to work. Great job. I really like this one.

I have to say, I haven’t been the biggest fan of bandsaw boxes in the past, because I didn’t see a lot of design variation, even though many of them were very well done. But I think you have aced this medium. It’s like you have made a breakthrough with these designs. Looking forward to seeing more.

Very impressive Huff! I’m sure we all have a piece sitting around with a bad spot in it that we just haven’t been able to get rid of. You solved the problem for us. Cut around it and incorporate it into the design!

Very cool.

Love the wood, has a smokey feel too. I guess that’s from the flames right? Nice job!
