well i think its obvious that this is a picnic table, its solid antique heart pine, and believe me it takes 4 to five men to move this table..it has to weight all of 300 pounds…needless to say if taken care of by future posterity, this table will be around for awhile…it is one of the nicest picnic tables ive seen as far as wood goes..and some of the best fried chicken has been eatin on it…

Looks nice. I also built a nice picnic table for our summer family get togethers. I built mine all out of red treated 2”x6”. Both tables look to be pretty much the same style except mine was a full 8’ long (big family) and I left about 6” more space between the two benches and table by making the two horizontal pieces about a foot longer then yours.
Your table looks very nice in the photo. How thick are the boards on the table top? They look to be more then 1 1/2” material.
