My wife has been bugging me more and more recently about getting the kitty litter box out of our pantry (Yuck.. I know..) and to create something for all the cat stuff to go in. I was thinking about using some fancy wood but I know she likes the rustic look and I’ve had a bunch of pallets laying around. Her wanting to make some pallet signs and this project gave me the kick I’ve needed for quite a while to finally get outside and disassemble them..
This herringbone chest turned out great and and would have probably been a welcome addition to our house even if it wasn’t full of cat stuff.
If you want to see more about how it was made check out my article and video here:

I like it! I’ve thought about doing something along those lines to hide my cat sh!t (both literal and figurative.. ;) ) but I have a feeling that if I actually built something, the cat would refuse to go in it.

I’m not a cat lover but I love the box, great work.

Thanks!
Jerkylips – We’ve been using an enclosed litter box from day one so maybe that has something to do with it but my cats seem to love it.
Tomd – I don’t know that I’d call myself a cat lover.. Move of a cat tolerator. :)

Awesome chest! I adore those pallet projects. Very useful, with lot of space in it. Looks very nice with various types of unthreated boards.
