Sculpted Men's Valet & Watch Box | Solid Cherry and Wenge

This valet & watch box is constructed of solid Cherry & Wenge. I sculpted the exterior of the entire box to resemble lapping waves along the shoreline of a beach. The surface features undulating peaks and valleys which smoothly flow into one another.

The box features two levels of storage. The top level houses two open faced removable sliding trays and the second level is divided into six 3”x3” compartments for the storage of six watches.

I did not use any stains or dyes in the finishing of this piece and all colors seen are the natural colors of the wood.

Finished with 3 coats of de-waxed shellac followed by 2 coats of poly applied with an HVLP sprayer.

This has come together very nicely Nick, just love the sculptor to the exterior, a well thought out & executed piece

Oh my! This is really making me want to try that technique. Aside from all the work on the waves the interior looks fantastic to me. Well done.

Amazing looking valet box! I love how the sculpting resembles the way the sand looks at the beach after the ocean has washed over it!

That looks amazing. The interior looks great, and brilliant to slope the sides of the interior boxes so the can come out easily.
