While on vacation this summer, I picked up a sawdust sculpture of a dragon and had it shipped. When it arrived I decided that it would be a real pain to dust so I ordered a glass bell. Then I decided that it all needed to sit on something. That’s where the wood working came in.
The dais is a couple walnut pieces glued up and then routed it into a circle. Swapped in a box cove bit and went around the bottom. Lots of sanding the routed edges. GF Java Gel stain for contrast which I then sanded to give a worn look.
Nothing difficult or unusual. Thanks for looking.
The dragon’s name is Bruce. Bonus points to those who know where his name came from.
