A set project for my course. Made from radiata pine, stained to approximate NZ Rimu which is a very popular native timber. Stained, oiled and waxed. Drawers were made with machine-cut dovetails – our first introduction to this method, I’ve always cut dovetails by hand before. Much faster!

Beautiful Green and Green table. You did a fine reproduction of one of their pieces. Congratulations.

This is a very nice design, with just enough detailing. And great choice on the color. I would not have guessed it was pine from the photo. What are the dimensions?

JockMike2 – well recognised! I changed the design slightly, deleted the leg:top transition pieces and put a bevel on the underside of the top edge instead. I guess I just like clean lines and no frilly bits.
FloridaArt – metric sorry, top measures 1370×430, overall height 850.
The table sold quickly with plenty of interest. I was sorry to see it go but it doesn’t suit my home – for starters, I don’t have a hall.
