Just Finished! This is a Marine EGA Symbol Shadowbox I was asked to build. It’s solid Mahogany except for the eye and toes of the Eagle which are Walnut. The Eagle is done in the Intarsia Art form I enjoy doing! I used a real piece of rope thinking it would accentuate this project. I felt the dome which represents the globe would set this apart from any other displays like this. The backing is black felt on foam core. And as an added surprise to the recipient, I added a light kit to light everything up at night! Thanks for looking!!! If you’re interested in or know someone that is interested in getting one, please send them this way! You can contact me through e-mail.

I knew you would knock it out of the park as usual. This is why you should stick with the woodworking. Great job. The dome was a terrific idea.

I am also wondering how much it would be to have you make another one to purchase. I am marrying my Marine in 3 weeks and would love for it to be his wedding present. He just showed me this and said it was the coolest thing he’s ever seen. I know it probably wouldn’t be ready in 3 weeks but knowing it’s coming would be exciting. I’m not allowed to send you a message because I don’t have enough posts :/

Alright, I am like everyone else on here and would love to buy one of these EGAs for a retiring Gunnery Sergeant in the next few months. If able I would just need the wooden EGA part and will be able to fill in the flag and other small details in the center. Please let me know what I need or have to do to get a hold of one of these.
