Visit my Etsy store to see the available wine bottle stoppers
Project Description
This segemented stopper is my second completed project in my June 2009 “30 Projects in 30 Days” challenge. Building these stoppers has been a lot of fun for me. Each design element allows for a number of alternatives by using different species of wood. For this stopper I have my Patchwork pattern which involves four species of wood worked together in a random selection resulting in what looks like a patchwork quilt appearnce. Considering that each stopper takes several hours to build and turn, I take great joy in knowing that no two stoppers are the same.
- Total pieces: 121
- Wood: Jatoba, Cherry, Red Leaf Maple & Walnut
- Cap: Sapele
- Dimensions: 2-1/8” tall, 1” diameter
- Finish: CA/BLO
Other segmented wine bottle stoppers I have created and posted here at Lumberjocks

Beautiful Stopper, Darryl!
I really like the randomness of the pattern. It reminds me of one of my mom’s patchwork quilts!
