Small gun case. The frame is walnut. The various wood surfaces came from a veneer sample pack. The top is held tightly closed by small magnets.

Very nicely done. I bet that top is tightly closed if you put two magnets in. LOL I tried that with a coffee mill drawer before I put a handle on it, thought I would never get it apart. Great choices in wood.

nice job ( although I am absolutely not a gun fan).Is this a derringer the type used in cowboy films by gamblers usually?Alistair

The gun is very modern, single action, 5 shot revolver. It shoots .22 shorts.
