This is my entry for the TSC 30 day challenge. I used birch for the main part and figured birch for the drawer front and walnut for the pull. I made the pull from scrap that I had. It was my first time making a drawer and I did have a few problems but I got it figured out. The drawers hit in the back of the opening and are flush in the front. Everything is finished with wipe on poly.

I’ve been curious to see what all you guys who entered the contest would come up with. It’s good to see a finished project. Nice design, and very nicely done. This might be the winner.

I love the grain figure on the drawers.

I entered as a beginner. I had to go to my dads and use his tools I don’t own any.

The color of that Birch made me think it was Cherry and Maple at first glance …You did a nice job on this and I like that you made the drawers different sizes : ) I have some Flame Birch that I’m saving for a special project , as yet to be determined .

The Birch is a red color to start with I guess you could call it Red Birch. My dad has a couple of Flame Birch boards 12 inchs wide and 6 feet long.
