My first lumberjocks project. My three-year-old son likes hats and doesn’t have a way to display them so I thought I’d make him a rustic hat rack. This is made entirely of cedar from my parents’ farm. I had a little difficulty getting the pegs to sit flush with the board but I decided to just go with it since it is supposed to look rustic anyway.

I am quite the novice woodworker so any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks for checking out my project!

Welcome to Lumberjocks,

There are a lot of talented woodworker to learn from in this group. We all had to start from the beginning to learn, and you have made the start. Keep on posting your projects.

Looks great. It’s neat that you were able to use cedar from your folk’s farm. Stuff with a back story is always cool. We learn with what we do and we do with what we learn, or something like that. There are a lot of cool people here to learn from. Sometimes I spend more time learning than doing
