Buying a Blasting cabinet was very expensive and i didnt have that kind of money so i built one, the inside has a piece of expanded metal to sit your part on and lets the sand fall thru the bottom to where your pickup hose is located.

since i’ve been working at a sandblasting shop for 2 weeks I have some suggestions: add a cheap fluorescent light inside the cabinet, place a metal window screen (the type to keep bugs out) on the inside of the window and covering the light, it will deflect most of the media before it hits the glass allowing the glass to last much longer, you should add some rubber mat on at least the back wall of the cabinet otherwise you’ll be wearing through the back eventually, you may want to include a dust collection port to see what your doing as it does get rather dusty when sandblasting but don’t forget to add a way for air to get sucked into the cabinet too. I realize the nozzle adds air but you aren’t necessarily blasting the whole time and dust collection should run the whole time. ear protection might be wise too. The shop I work in makes monuments and memorials. Good luck and happy blasting!
