These were gifts for my groomsmen in my wedding. They are made of 4/4 solid cherry, I resawed some on my bandsaw to make the catches. All of them are a little bit different but they are roughly 18” tall and 6” wide.
The finish is one coat of General Finishes Seal-A-Cell, followed by several coats of shellac/BLO/DNA and a couple coats of a homemade wax mixture.
I love the way the ink transfers turned out. The cherry took the ink very well.
The idea for these came from this picture, I found it on Etsy but cannot remember the username.
