Hello Fellow Lumberjocks,
Here are a few more windspinners that I created. They are all made using scraps from other projects or reclaimed lumber. Each of them are finished with exterior paint. In my previous ‘windspinner fever’ post I mentioned using brass fishing swivels. Unfortunately, I quickly discovered that these DO NOT last very long. Thanks to advice from a sales clerk at a local tackle shop I started using stainless steel ball bearing swivels. So far they are working fabulously. Not only are they more durable but they spin much more freely than did the brass swivels. Of course, being stainless steel in a ball bearing style they are quite a bit more expensive than the brass swivels. However, if you want your windspinners to spin in even the slightest breeze the stainless ball bearing style are the swivels to use!
Thanks for looking!
