Alright its not quite finished, since its missing the “clip” part, which one might consider important to a clipboard :D
Gotta try and find one that i like the look of, probably gonna be hard considering how picky i am.

Ive pretty much used up all the birch and walnut that was left over from a table i made a few months ago, ill have to post that table later, think ill wait until ive actually finished finishing it, soon hopefully

Well, i was laying in bed, sleepless, thinking about what i was gonna enjoy doing this summer, which is absolutely nothing, just baking in the sun :P
And then i thought, well laying in the sun, listening to my ipod could get boring after a while, so i would need something to sketch up any ideas that might pop into my head, and make plans for furniture etc…

Didnt really know it was gonna look like this, pretty much just made up the design as i went along, had to have something to do when i had a few hours extra time to be in school today, instead of just rolling my thumbs

Today happened to be the day that the “applicants” who wanna start after the summer were there, bloody 14 people trying to get in, and there will most likely be more in the summer, last year there was only 4, and the year before that 5-6, so its a huge boost (and almost half were women, which was quite a surprise, almost no girls seem to be interested in this).

Think its the first time there have been more applicants then there are places
Back on topic, finish is tung oil ;P

(oh and sorry about the messy writeup, its 3 at night and technically english is my 3rd language -.-)

Nice board beautiful figure. You could take a clip and add some wood to it.

Very nice design. I’m a sucker for anything arts and crafts and this is a brand new twist which makes it doubly interesting.

I have several requests for clipboards , but I haven’t found any clips yet to equal the quality of my woodworking. Still looking . Your project is too nice to stick any old thing on .

Lee Valley Woodworking has a variety of clip board clips, I have used them before and they work well and look nice.

Thanks for the lead . I visited my “local” Rockler store today (120 miles one way) and bought the only style that they had in stock along with a lot of other items. Two bonuses to this trip were a 15% off coupon and no sales tax : ) and of course finding the store and they had a lot of unadvertised specials going on too !
Link to the ones I bought today http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page=21718&TabSelect=Details
They include matching screws , but they’re 1/2” long !! Just how thick are we supposed to make our clipboards ? hahaha They also have the standard Nickel plated clips .

Quite like this one, even got a calculator and a pen holder :D
is cheap, and they ship internationally, but yeah, i live in Finland, so the shipping costs would be miles higher then the cost of the clip, must find more to buy on the site (or ill just buy ALOT of clips ;P)

Sweet frame and I love the arts and crafts style of wooden pegs.
