Project Story:

This knife was ordered as a gift for a friend of the customer, who is graduating this week from Veterinary Medicine up at the big State College North of here. The antler is Kansas Whitetail Deer, the blade is Stainless Steel, the hand guard is yellow brass.

I also had this laser engraved by Flinthills Laser Expressions in Emporia, KS. We’ve been working together lately to find ways to utilize his laser machine on unique items that I make in my shop. The laser engraving is a less expensive option than ivory inlays with hand scratched Scrimshaw Art.

I made a custom leather sheath for this knife, to be carried on a waist belt, right side carry.

Thanks for looking,
Mark DeCou
