Lucky me…. my son works at Genesis Products and the company makes doors. They started a project for a customer that then cancelled the order. Skid load of Ash with no place to go! Most is already glued together and planed to 1/2 inch. Some 3/4 inch stock. Just a matter of finding the right project for some of it to create some smiles.

Too bad, you are too far away – otherwise I would take it ;-)
Love ash wood.
Congratulation!

I know the ash is a stubborn wood so use it wisely.

Best invte the family around, (and the grandkids) and have a brainsrorming session on what to make.
From everybodies input I am assuming then the pile will not last long in its current form.
Humour: Dont be too concerned if HansR shows up as it looks like Kipper will guard the pile (allowing the NRA to rest easy!) and possibly send HansR off minus a hand or two, I would put a sheet of plastic over the lot to prevent bloodstains !!
Also Congratulations!
Nothing like getting professional (and free) help to do some of the preparation work for you.
A Psst….. this is a item more correctly belonging in a blog or forum as it is currently an incomplete project
So if you used a blog it can go just about anywhere, and then if you used the forum a sub menu will allow you to choose a category. You may find the administrators will move it for you.

Kipper is standing guard, you wouldn’t get two feet out the door…

Oh I think a Nice Big Steak just might convince Kipper to look the other direction for a while.
And no body has said it yet but I Sense a Big “You Suck” coming . :) And if you didn’t know it Howard the You Suck comment is a Good Thing on LJ’s. :)

Not really much I could do with the 1/2 stock.

You could easily make some great end grain cutting boards, since it’s already sanded. Next time you include Kipper in a pic, you should give him a speech bubble.
Have your say...
