This Box is made of Padauk, Mahogany, Curly Maple Veneer, with an Ebony/Ivory (Ivory Wood – no elephant sacrificed a tusk) inlay. The Body sits on a Base of Mahogany with seven carefully fashioned Feet, The Lid is of Frame and Panel Construction, surrounding a center field of striking Curly Maple Veneer, and opens on Brass Hinges, supported by a Brass Chain. The “Tiger Skin” bottom treatment was by request of the purchaser.
One of my earlier boxes.

Thank you, Charles. That’s one someone actually bought. My sister in point of fact. For her husband. James.
