Mahogany Shaker Table

There is no knob on the front drawer as per usual for a Shaker Table. Instead I carved out a hand pull on the underside of the drawer bottom, it works well. I have done this before when I didn’t want the knob to detract from the drawer front.

The finish was one coat Tung Oil and several coats of Liberon Wiping Oil, love this stuff. It is easy to control and comes out smooth when lightly sanding btwn coats.

Fine work Pat. Beautiful build with beautiful wood. I’ve always appreciated the Shakers’ combination of simplicity and refinement. Well done.
