Wardrobe Malfunction

This is a Turned Bowl of Chinese Elm. I named it “Wardrobe Malfunction” because it, frankly, wouldn’t admit of any other name. I finished it in Boiled Linseed Oil and Clear Shellac . This is a beautiful presentation of the stunning character that can be found inside a really rather ordinary city tree. This was among the first few things I turned when I brought home my 1956 Shopsmith (I’d never used a wood lathe, period, before that acquisition.) Now, it’s high on my list of Happy Places.
