A project I’ve been wanting to make for a while. Nothing too fancy, I built it for fun and to practice some new techniques. I had never tried dovetails, tapered legs, or a drawer. There’s lots of small imperfections but it was a learning experience.
The wood is cherry, the finish is Arm-R-Seal satin, and the knob is from Lowes. Mortis and tendons for the rails and legs. Only the left and back drawer sides are Maple I messed up on my last bit of Maple so the other side of the drawer is Cherry. I rabbeted the back of the drawer for simplicity. To attach the tops I used Z clips ( http://www.woodcraft.com/Product/159301/Table-Top-Fasteners-8-piece.aspx ) to allow for movement. They seem to have worked well. I have the plan as a PDF if anyone is interested.
