This stopper has been sold. Visit my Etsy store to see the available wine bottle stoppers
Project Description
Building these stoppers have been a lot of fun for me. Each design element allows for a number of alternatives by using different species or in this case, reversing the design of stopper #3. Considering that each stopper takes 3+ hours to build and turn, I enjoy knowing that no two are the same.
- Total pieces: 121
- Primary wood: Red Leaf Maple
- Secondary wood: Jatoba (Brazilian Cherry)
- Cap: Sapele
- Dimensions: 2-1/8” tall, 1” diameter
- Finish: CA/BLO
Other segmented wine bottle stoppers I have created and posted here at Lumberjocks

I always think your stoppers are vases when I first see the photos and then I’m amazed all over again to see how small they are and all those small pieces. Looks great.

Did you change stoppers or is this sitting on a display rack?

this is sitting on different stopper than the droplet. I’m expecting a new shipment of droplet stoppers to be delivered tomorrow. wonder if I’m going to have to alter my stoppers to deal with that lip issue you had mentioned…

Wow! When I first saw the photo, it looked like a drum. I had no idea it was so small.
