This is one of six ring boxes I made recently. Two for each of my kids. My daughter got married recently and requested that I make their ring boxes. She further challenged me by asking for the top to swivel rather than lift off or hinge open. I used a 1/4 inch dowel to accomplish this. I used a resaw blade on my bandsaw to cut the top and the bottom (for placing washer on bottom of dowel with cotter pin) off walnut block.

I used a Forstner bit for the ring hole and Lacquer finish.

Neat ring boxes. I am sure they will be cherished.
