The owner of this Marlin 30-30 is also a ranch owner. I engraved a cowboy silluoute with a skull of a long horn bull and added other details specific to his ranch such as the horse shoes and his “flying A” brand. He to wanted his brand engraved on the other side of the butt stock.

This is outstanding. The precision of a stock with the art of the carving…. Great work.

You’ve made it too beautiful. Now all he will want to do with it is hang it on the wall and enjoy looking at it. I guess you will now have to find another well worn 30-30 for his scabbard.

Very nice. I like all three, with the cowboy&longhorn being my favorite.

You just turned a plain ole marlin 30-30 into an expensive saddle gun.

Thanks for the compliments. A quality engraving can transform any gun, but theres just something about a good lever action rifle with a complimentary theme engraved on it. The 30-30 has definitely become one of my favorite guns to engrave.
The bison 30-30 was a genuine saddle gun when I took it in. I stripped the stain that was penetrated by years of leather sweat and re stained and finished the stock. You are right thought, these will probably not see to many days in the saddle any more.
