Hope Chest for my daughter

This is my only recent woodworking project. It was a very simple project with nothing fancy. I don’t know how to do the fancy joints so all of my joinery is using woodnails or screws. The finished project is not as professional but it is ok for a beginner and my daughter likes it so that is what is important. The pictures just show the evolution of the project from boards to finished product. This was all done in my small garage with a circular saw, some sandpaper, a simple hammer and nails. The brass work I picked up at the local Home Depot.

If you enjoyed making it and she likes it, that is what’s important… job well done.

Stick around this site and you’ll pick up some of that “fancy” stuff before you know it. :-)
