This is a suspended vase in my “Out of Africa” series. The vase is turned from beatle kill pine. The support system is made from wenge. The surface of the vase is turned then textured. It is burned and wire brushed. I then dye the surface and glaze it with gel stain. Hope you enjoy.

The African series are great. Primitive looking, yet, no way could the primitives match your work. LOL….......

Very nice indeed. It is befitting the name “Out of Africa”. Looks as if it were a tribal piece.

Love the stylized simplicity and elegance! And I’ve gotta add, I actually mistook the vessel as a ceramic piece is was such a beautiful ‘glaze’. The glaze must have been over my eyes…. lol! Great surface texture and the grain is incredible with the piece!
