This is wooden crane that I built for my Grandson two years ago.
I got the plans from Wood Magazine.
I also purchased the hardware kit which included the wheels.
It is made from Walnut and Maple.
I altered the cab size a little so that he could place one of his Lego figures in it.
It was fun to build and was an instant hit at Christmas.
The kids had to fight off us adults who wanted to play with it too.
There has only been one real fight over it and that is when my granddaughter used it to stack all of her My ‘Little Ponies’ on.
According to my grandson, that wasn’t cool!
The woman posing with it is my lovely wife.

Thanks for looking,

Nothing like putting a smile on a child’s face with a hand made toy. Nice work on this project and nice smile on your very pretty model too!

Ok this makes me realize that I need to just glue mine together after I have had all the parts cut out and floating around my shop for two years. I guess the saying goes better late than never I love the idea of making space for a Lego operator.

Great build. I had a crane that we played with when growing up. These things that bring a little joy are the best projects…
