These are cutting boards I made for my mom and mother-in-law as Christmas present this past year. The lighthouse was for my mom who lives near the east coast and the other was for my mother-in-law who lives in Idaho. I used Walnut, Bubinga, and Mahogany for the lighthouse board with Maple, Katalox, Yellowheart, and Padauk for the inlay. On the other board I used Walnut, Babinga, and Maple for the board and Zebra wood, Padauk, Yellowheart, Lacewood, Maple, Purple heart, and Katalox for the inlay. I haven’t done a lot of inlay and I definitely have a long way to go but this was a lot of fun and frustrating at the same time making them.
