Another “Jerry Hinge” box with some quilted Myrtlewood that Robert Triplett sent me a long time ago. Dimensions: 12” x 7 1/2” x 4”. Raised panel was done on the tablesaw. Finished with rubbed on shellac.
This was supposed to be a “wedding box” for my youngest daughter’s upcoming wedding but I have another one in progress that might get the nod instead. We’ll see…...
The pictures do not do justice to the amazing curl in that myrtlewood.

That is really nice…! Whatever your daughter ends up getting as a wedding gift, be it this box or something else will be a great treasure.

I am eager to see what does get the ‘nod’! Excellent use of the wood- the Jotoba frames the Myrtlewood very well.
-- Robert, so much inspiration here, and now time to work!!!

It’s great Andy. You seem to be doing pretty good at that finish.

Terrific work. You did great justice to a beautiful piece of wood.

Thanks for all the positive comments.
The ‘alternate wedding box’ has been fighting me a bit but I think I’m winning (I didn’t pick easy woods).
Robert, It too has one of your gifts incorporated in it.

You sure do make some nice looking boxes…..I’m going to have to get in a boat and come down and get some lessons one of these days! Hope you aren’t floating away down there. Jim
