Wife’s 2nd woodworking project. Without realizing what she was getting into my wife’s 2nd woodworking project (her first was a bandsaw box…see elsewhere on Lumberjacks) is a Butler’s tray with 15-1/2 degree compound miters. She made a jig for using the table saw to make the angles and freehanded the handles on the scrollsaw.

The ends are mahogany. The sides are white oak. The bottom is red oak. The stain is golden oak. All the wood is 1/4 inch. Finish is 7 coats of polycrylic, 3 coats of hard paste wax.

The measurements are 15” x 11.” Height is 2”

I am very proud of her.

A box was delivered yesterday with some new wood in it. I wonder what she’s up to now?
